From 1980’s release of Permanent Waves to the 1989 with Presto, Rush was quite a busy band during the 1980s. They moved away from the hard rock and into synth rock as they marched through the decade with seven studio albums and two live albums to boot. Here at Eighties N Nineties, we show Rush’s albums from the 80s.
Since 1974, Rush had always been Geddy Lee at vocals, bass guitar, and synthesizers; Alex Lifeson at guitar, background vocals, and occasionally synthesizer; and Neil Peart on drums, acoustic, and electric percussion.
All album artwork done by Hugh Syme, who had also made an appearance on two early songs.
